Well it has been 12 months and 50,000k since I had the reversing camera fitted.
Since then I don't think that there has a day gone by that the camera has not been on.
The one and only problem has been the bracket that holds the camera to the dash or in my case the overhead console. It broke on the way back from the
Vic High Country last week.
Instead of getting another plastic bracket I made a new one out of steel. I have just finished bolting it in so the next 12 months will tell if the steel is better than plastic.

Where's the actual camera mounted on your rig and what brand is it? Sounds like a good bit of kit.
Cheers

Like wise,
mine is always on or so it seems...I get much better vision than I do with the mirror. I am thinking of getting the monitor that is actually inside the mirror as the monitor I have is a slim one clipped to the rear of the sun visor and though it is large & works
well it does have a tendency to unclip and fall into my lap...I also am thinking of getting another camera as I use the same camera for both the back of the car & then move it to the back of the van when I'm towing it...
Must
check out Ebay for a price on the mirror monitor as they are priced at $900 at my local 4x4
shop...
My son tells me that a $30 webcam would do the same job just needs to have the RCA connectors put on....

HI
I just bought one of those in mirror reverse camera setups.
Havn't installed it yet, but have bench tested it.
Cost me $300 from www.brashimports.com.au/6A.htm

I am only after the monitor though, this is a complete setup.

Just purchased one on eBay. Paid the extra for the night vision and 120' wide angle.

Hi
Anyone buying one of these monitor in mirror jobs - be aware that the clips that hook onto the existing mirror are not deep enough to fit properly onto a GU mirror - not
mine anyway.
I removed the mirror & made a mount for it all - all back & good now.
Oh, do not ever take the little screw in the back of the GU mirror out !.

Just installed the same one Wayne, thought that bracket was a bit dicky.
Be great if you could post pics etc of that new custom bracket when you get a chance. I think a few on here have that brand.
