The old cemetery at Bulong is well worth a look. Those folks back at the turn of the century (20th) sure did it tough. You can still see the old streets of the town cut through the trees.

Lake Yindarlgooda can be quite pretty when dry, but I don't like your chances this year.

CALM do a little book called 'Common Trees of the Goldfields' which costs about 6 bucks and is well worth getting. Finally found out what those coppery / gold trees are called - Gimlets. They look absolutely magic at sunset.

Love it out in the Kalgoorlie goldfields, the area has a special feel to it. So much history too.

Sounds like a beaut trip....have fun!

I was out the back of noresman ove rthe easter holidays and we ran into the landrover club. They had just come from the Fraser Range and the remainder of their trip sounded similair to yours. From what they were saying, some of their members spend a bit of time out that way, so it may be worth getting in touch with that club, or check their web page to see if they have any info on it.

One of my favourite areas out there in the goldfields, have fun!!

One of the people doing the trip with me lives next door to one of the Landrover people you ran into. It was he who suggested this trip. I will check their Web Thanks

We planed a trip up from Fraser's range out to officer then back to Kal at Easter (but did something else)

The track from Queen Vic springs to Cundeelee is very ruff as i was told by the administrator at the community.

you need a permit to travel this land and also permission from the owners

check out the web site

Site Link

they where easy to get on with

Regards

Been around Pinjin a few weeks ago and QVS about a year back etc. Plenty of old places to check out round Pinjin. The QVS run is straightforward. Cundalee is abandoned so just drove through. You can head down to balladonia past lake Boondaroo which should be dry by now.

G'day dave, long time no hear !!!!

I have been trying to convince the troops that we should be heading inland instead of up the beach all the time, and I keep thinking that this is one of the first areas I would like to go.

I am thinking of starting with the Holland Track, which would take us to Coolgardie, and then on from there, however, we are Jayco camper kind of people and I am wondering if this area may be difficult when wet, if towing.

Any Ideas Dave?

I did the holland track shortly after a pretty heavy rain and although there were large sections that looked like long mud pits and the water had pooled in wheel ruts, on the tracks there was only a few inches of mud and under that it was hard dirt. I couldn't imagine you having any grief with a camper so long as it has off road tyres on it. Just dont take it up mount holland, but everywhere else would be fine. You can go it alone, but I'd recommend a second car for safety.
