G'DAy All.
We are planning a trip to the GRR in Oct 06, and I came across an articale in a 4WD magazine a few weeks ago about a replacement stubb axle that slides over the broken section of axle, then clampes on, the hub & bearings can then be installed onto the new stubb axle (once you have found the run away wheel). Doe's anyone know were I can find these replacement stubb axles, as I cannot find the articale again!! I think they were made here in W.A. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Howard.

Not sure about the stub axels you are talking about, but I have a spare with a couple of u bolts that can go on the side of the current axel. This stub also seconds as a spare wheel carrier and big jockey wheel

Andrew,
The stub axle is a square tube with stub attached to the end of it, and it slides over the origonal square axle shaft, and is secured by 2 x bolts through the tube onto the broken axle shaft.
