Hi to all.
Taking the lux over to moreton soon, have not been there for a few years, up to Fraser instead. Just wondered who has been over recently and what condition the tracks are in, thinking of camping on the western side for a change any comments about camping on western side.
Thanks

Turbo
We were at morton just before
easter and camped on the western side. We were camped between cowen and bulwar which was fine with not too many people or cars around. Most of those campsites are open to the bay so it can get rather distressing when the westerlies are blowing, as they did for us for the first 2 days. Otherwise the western side was great with dolphins swimminmg right up to the shore.
Had no hassels with any the tracks.
I think it's muach better then fraser if you want a good relaxing time away.
I asked a simmilar question before we went and wrote up a quick trip report after so have a search and you should be able to find those posts.
Enjoy.
Cheers

Hi,
We are just back and you will have no problems getting around. Middle Road is badly chopped up on all of the upward inclines and this usually happens over there when people don't let some air out of their tyres.
Severe erosion on the surf side with a lot of the dunes gone leaving a sheer
cliff face about two metres tall in some
places.
All sand is gone from
Honeymoon Bay and is going to take a while to come back I think.
New
camp ground open at
North Point for tents only but you can't get your car in next to your site.
Otherwise all is good.
It is a great spot
Have a good trip,
