Hi,
This will sound a bit silly to some of you but here goes.
I am taking off on a 4000k trek on Thursday (Adelaide -Oodnadata track-Mt Dare-Simpson-Birdsville-Innaminka - Quorn - Adelaide)
My question is:
I am going to use my unleaded fuel containers to carry diesel. How fussy do I have to be in cleansing the containers. If there was a tablespoon of unleaded in the container would this be disastrous
Thanks
Huggy

I think Mercedes recommends adding a bit of petrol to the diesel in really cold climates in Europe??

Just buy a litre of diesel and pour it into each container shaking it so it reaches all parts or the container this will be sufficient to clean, them a tablespoon of unleaded would not be a problem even if it was in a 1 litre container. Interesting call sign my surname is Huggins

short answer is no. no problems.

long answer is, that ULP is often used to "Alpinate" diesel fuel for cold climates decreasing the gel temperature.

Ciao for now
Andrew.
