Can anyone give me a brief run down on how an off road caravan would go travelling the Tanami from
halls creek to Alice. Thanks, Wes.

We've done the track(highway)twice now .The first time it was a rough corrigated track, second time it was a smooth highway.Unbelievable the differance.First trip took three days travelling, second time just under one and a half.
If its a good offroad van it should be O.K you just gotta drive to the conditions.

Can be rather corrugated in parts. Side trip the Wolfe Creek meteor crater was VERY corrugated mid last year.

Well if it's an OFF road caravan on a wide corrugated track it should be ok cruise when it's smooth crawl when it's rough, I would presume you have plastic plates ..lol
It was very rough in
places to
the Crater T/O but then that was then , it could be better or worse now, either way your gonna enjoy it and crawl into
the crater for a look ,my jaw is still dragging from awe, good little
free camp area too ,I'm sure you will team up with others at
Halls Creek for a good time heading same way.
