Hi,
I'm in the market for a used Troop Carrier 5
seat RV. How important that they have been serviced every 5,000 kms? Or is 10,000 kms sufficient?

Toyota suggest 10,000km intervals for both the 1Hz and the 1HD-FTE turbo-diesel under normal conditions. Most of the service intervals with the Troopie are pretty conservative because they are a commercial vehicle that often do a bit of hard work. Most will get serviced at 10,000k, which is usually fine.
The oil in my 1HD-FTE, is just getting black at 5,000km, but its had 5,000k oil changes since new.
