A while ago Eric and friends posted some pix of the damage caused to
Cape York tracks . I've searched but can't find the post, can anyone help ?

Sam, can you offer any further comments about attempts to repair the road damage? I'm be up there in exactly one month, driving from Melb. A mate of
mine is flying to
Cairns and hiring a troopy for the trip north. He recently emailed the hirer to ask about road conditions - the hirer (don't know which one) claims that the peninsula development road is open and there's no problems getting through. This flies in the face of current racq road report. What do you think? Rob.

If you try to keep an eye on the thread I linked I will try to keep it up to date as much as possible I rang the archer today and it is at 1.6 and going down it should be down within the week to under 1mtre
