Afternoon all,

I've had a trawl through the forum and also spent about 30 mins googling and sniffing around ebay but have not managed to turn up a supplier of a pack of assorted mini blade fuses. I can find numerous suppliers for packs of assorted standard blade fuses, but am after a mini blade fuse one. I know they exist, i've seen them, but idiot here thought he didn't need it at the time!

So if anyone could point me in the direction of a supplier for one of these packs (and I am not talking the small blister packs of 5 fuses you get in Repco - I am talking large assortments in the plastic trays) I would be ever greatful.

cheers,
Sam.

I'm sure I have seen them in Dick Smith (Or Jaycar).

Not the blister packs but the plastic boxes with about half a dozen different sizes ???

Ray,

you got that one right mate! Dick Smith are no longer an electronics supplier, they used to amaze me with their level of competence of staff. No longer.

Used to be looking around, and some spotty kid would walk up with "can I help you?" (i'd be thinkin doubtful) asking for whatever I wanted, and usually amazed at knowledge, further asking me on the spec I needed. (I'm an electronic tech).

Last time I was in Dick Smiths, asked girl for a relay, to handle 5 amps, 12v DC coil...... wait for it.....

........

her reply....... "Whats a relay?" I swear this is true!!

They want out of consumer electronics and since Woolies (I believe) bought them, they only wanna sell phones n digi cameras etc.

If you want gear, go to Jaycar or RS or Farnell, DSE are finished in serious electronics/electrical gear.

Locally by me a Leading edge Electronics has shot up, (work on jaycar catalogue) cashing in on DSE incompetence, we now buy all our gear from them.

I can phone with a Jaycar number and if not in stock, providing its before 3pm ish, it will be there in morning.

I'm sure I bought mine from Supercrap. The 100 series runs them in the footwell fuse box.

Coventrys, Blackwoods, Narva, Bosch should all be able to help. Otherwise, go into an auto sparkie's and have a sticky beak.

Obviously the word blade screwed up my search.

hehehe Nothing Al,

just easier to buy a nice little assortment. I suppose I could have bought a pack of each and one of those plastic organiser containers and made up my own, but not sure if I would have come out in front.

I'm just continuing on my merry way picking up spares ready for the Simpson trip in July

Thanks for that Al. They've got a bit of gear.

As I said before, i made the mistake of using the word "blade" in my search. Seems they are called everything but that.

cheers,
Sam.
