Mikell
I am looking to get a fridge eventually and would like to know from others the size they would recommend for a family of four.
We mostly do 2/3 day trips with a one week trip once a year. Is a 40lt engel or waeco big enough for this or should we look at larger fridges. At present we make do with one large (70lt) and one medium (35lt)esky but it restricts where you can go as you need ice daily in warm weather and on longer trips we
shop 2 or 3 times so the meat etc dosent swim too long in the bottom of the esky.

Mikell. My Chescold fridge/freezer is around the 40 litre mark and we have a 5yo and an 8yo and would say that a 40 litre (from our experience) would be the minimum for your family.

Mikell, go at least 50 Ltrs if you drink beer. If you don't I reckon 40 Ltrs would be ok.
Too many variables to make a recommendation - depends if you are the type who carries a lot of fresh food. If you currenty carry 105 Ltrs worth of esky I would say you need a fairly large fridge, say drop 40 Ltrs off for ice and you arrive at around the 60 to 70 Ltr.

We fill our 68 litre fridge for weekend trips (2 adults, 2 kids), but we like lots of fresh food and cold drinks.
You will use as much space as you have, so it depends how much fresh food you'd like to take.
Personally I'm very happy the 50 litre model was out of stock when I bought my EvaKool, coz the 68 litre one allows use to take the extra's instead of just the essentials.
