Hello, need to know if any body has converted a standared 6 seater 100 series cruiser to an 8 seater, How much trouble is it to install mounting points, anybody know of a place in Townsville who can do it, what should it cost and lastly has anybody got a standared
grey cloth set they want to get rid of

expensive to get it engineered and passed inspection/rego.
I investigated it, but just bought a GXL instead.
The back row seats are on eBay frequently.

Ghecko,
I have the back seats and all the brackets etc,
grey in colour.
Check and see if the mounting points are in the back. I am in
Brisbane. Am Prepared to sell if they will fit.
Cheers.

Gidday
John, could you tell me how many mount points there should be for your seats and roughly their position as the vehicle I am intending to buy has 4 points in the floor.

Rob, I do belive it is 6 I have storage units in the back now, Just been to the garage to look. 2 cup brackets with a centre pin,and 4brackets that look like a Square A. Mine is a 1998 100 series gxl . Seats fold up to the side when not in use,so must be 6.
Why dont you go to local Toyota dealer and look at their drawings in parts.
Cheers.

Four per
seat in my 1998 100 series GXL.
The seats can come out.
The sort of slot in forward whilst still folded up, and then, when folded down, a support with two latches from and rear that come out when laid down, and which hold it in place.

damn - where is the edit feature.
I'll say that again and proof read it:
The seats sort of slot in forward using the outside latches whilst still folded up, and then, when folded down, a support with two latches (one front and one rear) that come out and hold it in place.

Don`t forget your going to need the
seat belts and the handles that hold them in the upright position aswell, not to sure if the
seat belts will fit with the standed plastic trim. I have a pair of seats belts handels brackets bolt ect but im at the other end of qld.
