It does not raise the sessions counters as far as the stats systems report. These systems use a seperate analysis based on IP address and browser tag to determine session over a period of time so it does nothing really for the usage session counts as far as the site stats reports are concerned. It was really my way of trying to limit people from just dumping hundreds of answers in one go.

However having said this it appears that somone has decided to cheat the comp system today. Using a program or process to feed every creek name from NT into the DB and bypassing the session checker. I do not think this fits the spirit of the comp and must say I am a little dissapointed. I am not sure who it was however I have the option to have a look through the server logs to find out! Alas I have better things to do with my time.

Anyway well done to the winner - I did not load the 300 clue as I thought it would have ben answered before we got there.

not me :-) i'm sitting in Townsville on 28.8k Dial-up (away from B/B) .....aaaragh. I would get fed up doing 10 guesses in a row ;-)
