Hi guys,
COOPS gave details on resetting timing belt warning light on 80 series 1HZ. I have a 100 series and I looked for the grommet on the dash beside the trip reset button but on the 100 series I could find no grommet hiding a reset button for the timing belt light.
Anyone with a simple way to reset the light after changing the timing belt? Or does it have to be done via the computer diagnostic socket?

I'm guessing that the 100 series wll most likely be OBDII compliant, which means it has to be done via the engine management port. Most workshops nowadays can do this for you so a visit to the dealer shouldn't be necessary.

Savvas,
Thanks for the direction - I'll follow it up at next service and let you know the result - in case anyone else is asking!
P.S. Computer problems prevented an earlier 'thank you'.
