Hi All and Happy Mothers Day to all the Mums.
We are flying to
Melbourne from
Hobart to attend the Caravan and Camping Show at Caulfield Race Course and were wondering what train, tram or other public transport we should use to get there (and where do we catch it from and get off??)from
Melbourne CBD and approx. how far away it is from the CBD.
Thanks
Andrew & Joanne

The Racercource located opposite Caulfield Train Station, so any train which goes to that station would take you there...

As above, but u can get the airport bus to Spencer Street railway station where I think regular airport bus run to/ from airport is based- u can also admire the billion dollar roof on the new station- just ask at the station for the Caufield line-

Where is gives you ability to map
places of interest giving size of map, the area to be covered just put in Racecourses and Caulfield as the suburb and you should find th emap. www.whereis.com or www.whereis.com if you would rather. The timetables are available online too at Connex www.connexmelbourne.com.au/ as it appears Metlink isn't working this morning.

Andrew & Joanne,
Lots of trains on the Dandenong -Pakenham line as
well as the Frankston line go through Caulfield so there will be plently of trains. Catch the train at either Spencer Street (
Southern Cross Stn) or Flinders Street. You could get a tram but it would take much longer and is far more convoluted (Tram No 3 gets you very close). I Have absolutely no idea where that trams starts from in the city-sorry.

grab the skybus from the airport, they go regularly, it will drop you at spencer /
southern cross station. then just walk down and grab a train out.
you could taxi it straight from the airport, but it would cost about $70 i reckon.
