According to the RACQ website, the Plenty is closed. Anyone know if it's a long term problem , or just the usual boggy after floods problem ?
TIA

Thanks drover. I've noticed that it's apparently been closed for some time now. I'm not off that way for a few weeks yet, but if the situation appears to be the same I'll give the people at Glenormiston a ring.

Closed late last week due to flooding in the Georgina River just west of
Boulia. According to ABC Radio this a.m. the water is dropping but still closed. Should only be matter of days. The water passing down the Georgina eventually becomes Eyre Creek - but no, there is not enough flood to make the Eyre Creek Detour come into operation in the SD.
Same with
Cooper Creek - not enough flood to cut the
Birdsville Track, and definitely not enough to go into Lake Eyre.
