Does anyone have any
feedback on the track from
Mataranka to Nhulunby. Gove Peninsula.
How would it compare with the
Gibb River Road,
Gunbarrel Highway,
Cape York, ect.
I have not seen any track notes from the Exploroz team.

Its a a gravel road , with 20 river crossings.... dry in the dry season , impassible in the wet !!!! when I went this way a Falcon would do the job ! ... but it was dry and a fast run !! Water added and its a different story,
check weather ahead of trip and call up the Tourist Centre in
Katherine for an update !

I guess you are aware that a permit is required to use this track.
I was talking to the Honda Agent in
Darwin earlier this year & he was saying that a client of his towed a 21 footer, including motor, on a tandem trailer from
Darwin to
Nhulunbuy with no problems.
From what I have heard in recent times, we lived in
Nhulunbuy for about 11 years but left in 1990, the track is, in the dry, not an issue & relatively, for its remoteness,
well used.
