Gidday folks, I have received a GPSMAP 60cx and am having trouble
loading up the trip and waypoint software into my pc. It seems to load
up ok but when I go to use it an error message pops up saying "there is
a problem with the mapsource registry. Please reinstall Mapsource and
start it again." This I have done along with rebooting each time and
with no success as the same message keeps appearing. I have also
unistalled it and reloaded with no luck either. Any suggestions/ideas ?

cheers

Dave

I own a 60 CS and use it in my car and on the Guzzi........fantastic gear .
Do you need an unlock code for the waypoint software?
Garmin is allways painful until setup right but it works well ones sorted.
Hang in there and contact Garmin if no luck.

cheers

Was it a burnt copy??? If so you are more than likely missing some of the .dll files, happened to me when I tried to copy World Map.

I reset the settings on my pc back to an earlier date, deleted the registry files, rebooted the pc. Reloaded the cd and hey presto all is ok. Why, I have no idea but thanks for the suggestions. I have loaded T4A into and it is a pretty good mapset. Next on the agenda is to put those numbers onto a map and work out where we are. That'l be fun and will keep the grey matter occupied. I purchased the unit off ebay as it is not yet released here in oz yet and I believe the RRP will be around the $900 mark.

cheers
