We have been planning our trip around central oz/simpson desert for over 18 months, and its finally almost time to leave.

We have spent all this week getting everything together, loading the camper, giving the Patrol the final once over.

Now with only one day left before we leave, we just wanted to thank everyone for all their assistance and advice over the preceeding months.

If anyone else is travelling around the same areas and you see a white Patrol towing a grey trailer with a green camper top (exploroz stickers on both Patrol & camper) don't be a stranger.

We'll be away for about 5 weeks so we will catch you all on our return.

Safe travels guys.
Just do me one favour go and find the camera..... I always seem to forget it everywhere I go. I hope you don't do the same.
Now that you have it packed you can assure us of some brag snaps on your return.

Have fun, best Regards
Trevor.

Hi Browser

No its not that far, thats a flaw in nowwhere routes way of doing things, notice the big eastward loop near Birdsville.

Its really Just under 2000km but thats far enough , we get out a bit so its just a transport stage for us. Usually drive straight thru , swapping drivers of course and it takes about 26hrs driving at speed limit ,but this time we have a few vehicles in tow so we stop overnight at PT AUg which is 1/2 way.
