They sound like anti-theft nuts and you shudda been given the special spanner/tool when they fitted the lights for you??? You may have to go back to a dealer and see if they can supply said tool.
Good luck

Hi, Check inside the "holes" sometimes there are small grub screws with an Allen key head. These lock onto the light spindle and the thought is that most opportunists would not have a allen key that small available. I know that my Cibies use this principle.

Phil,

Fitted IPF lights short while ago, included is a 'special' lock nut remover. Has a specific combination of lugs that fit into the holes and has a regular hex end for a socket.

Suggest you contact ARB or any IPF distrubutor 'cos all are supposed to be different.

Regards

Sometimes find that circlip pliers or even cranked or straight needle nose pliers work on these type of fittings. Have been known to take the needle nose pliers to the bench grinder before now for a little fine tuning, but use an old or cheap pair. Also depends how tight the nut is.

Go to your local ARB store, they sound like Barri nuts. They should be able to help.
Good luck
