Hi All,

I need to utilise 4 child restraint point in a 2003 prado which requires putting two seats in third row, however, there are no points there. Has anyone had a CRAB or Vertical post put in the third row of prado? Was this a simple process as the fitting stations have never done them before and feel they have to rip the back of the car apart to find out.

Thanks
Al

Al,

The problem with using the 3rd row of seats is distance from the back of the seats and the back of the vehicle.

A CRAB would be the only way but that would mean that the trim would have to be cut. A vertical post would be out of the question because of the fuel tank at the back of the vehicle.

If there are any anchor points they would be in either in the back of the seats or the floor.

Toyota should be able to tell you or ring the RTA.
