Can anyone recommend a non GMH dealer in Sydney (I will go anywhere) to reliably carry out a Jackaroo 160,000 service "the big one" and stand by their work?

Can non dealer mechanics look after cars like this without the computer connetas etc?

Thanks

North Rocks but I don't mind driving anywhere within City of Sydney for something so important - I have just been stitched up for the second time by GMH and they are not getting a third go.

WDR

I have had good results with Traction 4 at Artarmon with my Landcruiser over the past 5 years or so.

Not cheap - but you should expect to get what you pay for, and I certainly have. The Service Manager actually listens to me, and feeds back what he finds, and has at times rung me at home to tell me extra stuff they have found - anbd always rings when the job is done. I have worked on my car myself over the years, and I spent several years finding someone I could trust as much as myself. (Yes I know I am modest!).

He is a 4WD specialist and I have seen Jackaroos in there. I live at Eastwood so you are not all that much further.

02 9438 4404 and ask for Richard. And no - my ONLY commercial interest in them is as a satisfied customer who watches them like a hawk and checks up on what they say they have done. And have not caught them in anything worse than getting tyre pressures a bit wrong.

Hope it helps

Max

My mates family live in Sydney and swear by Mackenzie Auto Services in Carlton. The head mechanic's name is Ian and he is honestly the best mechanic I have ever been to. As was mentioned above, you get what you pay for and he aint cheap, but garaunteed he will do the best job.
