For the bike riders, caravaners etc
Have been doing the Mawson Trail (for Push Bikes) for a a few months. The
cook and I road from
Clare to Riverton on Saturday just gone.
Totalled 44km, was a great ride and incorporated the Riesling Trail. Mrs P is not generally a bike rider, but she did a pretty goood job covering this in just over 3 hours.
Scenery was fantastic, weather was cool but fine. Great day. Did not touch a drop.
Give it a go.

Yep,
The Riesling Trail is a good ride.
The Riverton trails are also worth a look.
Info and trail maps available at the caravan park.
Always seem to wind up around
Clare to sample the local produce though!

Porker,
You are right, good ride.
From Auburn to Riverton was not on the Mawson Trail, bit different to the trails, takes you on back roads, thru paddocks etc.
Scenery was fantastic.
Maps can be purchased from Bikes SA, about $2 cheaper than local.
