I've lived here for over 20 years (yes I'm working on becoming a local :) but this surprised me.
I've always said that the southern states had bigger carpets to sweep things under :))

Looking at the statistics tells me that both states are very similar in their
views. It harly raises any stark differences between NSW and QLD. It's more like another Fairfax waste of space :-)

You could be right. The press aren't high on my list of "reliable sources".
I just thought that the article was interesting, given the lingering image that Qld seemed to acquire, a few political leaders ago.

I came from NSW (Luddenham) too in 1989 for about 18 months and never left. The kids have grown up here and can't see myself leaving now.

I too was born n bred Cocky, moved up here in '72 went back in '76 back up here in '79 been here ever since & i dred going back for visit's which are few & far between these day's. Longer up here than down in N.S.Cockroachville. Go the Maningamaroon's.
