Hello all,i believe there is a yearly event where people cross the simpson on push bikes with vehicle suport each year.does anyone have any info or contacts,have two sons that would like to join in,any info appreciated,thankyou.

There were a couple of bikes doing this whe we crossed. The bigger bikes turned back as they were just getting bogged and having to be pushed up the dunes, and the little bikes (250>cc I think) were ok, but working hard. They looked pretty tired.

Sorry I missed your post the other day. We acted as support for three riders in Oct 2001, fantastic fun for us, can't say the same for them. Its a long hard race as you can imagine. We were going again this year however due to a wedding at the same time will be unable. I suggest you look in to it, as a rider it is very challanging and as a support crew its a great experience.
