Hi all,
I have a 40 litre Engel fridge on an Engel fridge slide which really rattles and anoys the hell out of me while driving?
Has anyone else encounted this problem and is there a fix before i go crazy?

There seems to be a small gap between the release lever which allows it to slide forwrds and back by a couple of mm.

anyones help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Chris.

Have you tried to adjust the rubber stops/ guides,( I assume the original engel slides have them. I got mine from the guy that make engel and his own) they are adjustable by alen keys???

Cobes,
Yeah mine rattles as well, very annoying. I have tried adjusting it, but the rubber stops are mounted to a plastic strip, so if you adjust too tight the stops just bend up. I have thought of putting a bolt through the rubber to stop flex. Would be good to hear from others.

I used a gate catch/bolt thing spring loaded on mine. Stoped the rattle for good, especially when you remove the rattlly Engle catch thingie.

Mine used to rattle, same prob small amount of free play between the slide and the catch the quick fix was to break out the mig and put a small weld on the end of the slide to fill inthe gap, then filed it back to a snug fit, did it about 18 months ago been perfect ever since. some times it's the simple fix that works best.
Hope this helps.

Mine seemed to have a little movement - so I put a small round felt pad (that you put on the bottom chairs to stop them scratching) at the rear on each side where there seemed to be a little gap. - no movement now.
