I've searched the archives and didn't find anything on the topic of oil additives that claim they can rejuvinate oil seals. The question is, do they make the seals swell up and then perish after a time or is there some truth to their claims? In short, do the additives work?

Certainly Wynns Power Steering stop leak works both in power steering & auto transmissions.

I put some Lucas Oil(or your money back) in my Power Steering.
My mechanic reckoned it would take 6 months to take effect and that is what happened.
After 6 months, almost to the day, all the weeping leaks have now stopped.
So I dont have to make a claim for my money....:-)
