Not sure if this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it in the first two pages of threads.

Petition to be presented to NSW Parliament on 8th June against the Snowy Hydro selloff being done without public consultation - visit site.savesnowyhydro.com/

Despite the petition, I've also applied for a prospectus - if it's going to be sold, might as well buy my little bit of it back and keep it in the family!

Objection registered.

Poos me to tears the government flogging of public assets for a quick buck, especially one as valuable as water.

I've just registered too. As a weekend local with a place just outside of Cooma on the Murrumbidgee I'm a bit cranky about this idiotic Labor state govenment selling off what belongs to me already.

Done.
There is also a protest rally against the selloff of the "Snowy" on 6th June 12.30pm in Hyde Park, Sydney at the Archibald Fountain. Must be the first time 4WD'ers and the Greens have something in common.

Sell it! No one can take it away. It'll always be there. Better to build a few hospitals with the money.

Governments are no good at running things--just look at the trains!

Just another gift to the people of Australia from that scumbag Bob Carr. They've had the ability to sell it since 96/97. Now the junior scumbag, Morris Iemma, won't even field questions or hold a press conference over it.

He's ducking for cover and praying he can sell it to fill some huge holes in NSW's finances. I suspect his teflon coated mate, Bracks, has similar deficiencies in his piggy bank as well.

This is probably one of THE engineering wonders of the world that generates a continuing source of revenue and they want to sell it off for some short term cash to cover their mismanagement of State finances.

If Iemma and his cronies survive next year's election, half the NSW electorate should be disenfranchised. Could'nt believe they re-elected Carr last time.

Doesn't appear to have been posted yet.
The Federal Gov't has pulled the plug on the sale of their share of the scheme and NSW have followed saying its now not viable to sell it off.
