hi, does anyone know where i can buy the UHF stickers that go on the camper? and what sort of price they are. i have heard that there is a group that sells them and part of the money they get from selling them goes to the Royal Flying Doctors. so if some one can help it would be much appreciated.

UHF Stickers??? Do you mean the ones that say things like Peter and Sally UHF 10? If so these can be obtained anywhere that does computer printing. There is one at the Brickworks markets on South Road.

But what if you are on Channel 19?

You can set your transciever to scan one, or multiple channels, so if you are travelling in a "convoy" of vehicles, you would no doubt prefer a quite channel, whilst scanning another channel or channels.

Most people who have UHF sets know that Caravanners use channel 18 and 4WD'ers generally use channel 10, while the "emergency" channel is 5. And out bush, you are usually in one of the repeater channels (1-8) if you need assistance. So you shouldn't really need a sticker to advertise. Just tune to the relevent channel if you wish to "chew the fat", or scan other selected channels if required.

You can either just buy the numbers from a hardware store or marine shop, or if you are after something fancy, in the Brickworks Markets in Adelaide, there is a little stall where they will custom make stickers to your own design while you wait, you can have graphics, fancy lettering etc, a 30cm x 10cm design cost me $15 when I was last there.

Hi.
you can buy sheets of press stamped alphabet multables stickers and numbers from places like officeworks and stationery supplies. You can sticker names etc on so many things. Driver: Gonebush, Navigator: Gettinbushy. LOL. and still get your UHF stuff. Prices I don't know sorry. Of course you can still donate to RFDS.
