Shad,

Both good campsites close to the river and with good shade. The second one (Big River I think) is a couple of kms of '4WD' track beyond the first one. Ironically, we have found it more crowded on several visits because it is 4WD only. Go figure. Not much water in the river when we were there in Jan and I don't expect this will have changed much.

Nice spots though.

Matt.

Was up there at xmas time and the place was deserted (which is good) but there were about a million meat ants everywhere, so the missus was not keen on staying. Not sure if they invade your tent in the middle of the night.

was up there last month, had big river all to ourselves, enough water in the river then for swimming RHS of camp. plenty of roos and corrugations on mogo road.

heaps of room at both camps, i prefer big river but if it is wet/overcast, you may prefer spring gully as it is much more open, therefore sunnier. only a short stroll to big river if you want to have a look.
