Hey all,
Does anybody know the condition of the track that roughly joins
Kurnalpi and Yindi
Rock?
I am heading to QV Spring on a long-weekender next week and will be in the area and want to visit
the rock, as David
Carnegie did.
Also - Hunt
Pinnacles!!! anybody ever been there or know anything about them?
cheers

Trekkie,
It sounds like you wont be too hard to find!!
I'm leaving
Perth after work Friday - hopefully I'll
camp somewhere after
Southern Cross and arrive at the spring late Saturday.
Leaving the spring Sunday afternoon I'll try and
camp somewhere along the railway before the long trip back to
Perth Monday. If I have time I may try and visit Mt. Burgess - don't know yet.
I'll be in the RV travelling with one passenger (dad) - see you there!!

Been to hunt's
Pinnacles a few months back...
check out will have a fair walk to get to the peaks from the road, or scout around a bit and you'll see tyre tracks from davoe and I. not sure how familiar you are with salt lakes, but dont drive them especially after recent rains out here.
The track is in pretty good condition- I averaged 40-60km/h. There are some narrow overgrown sections, but you shouldnt have problems.
Theres a few homesteads and trashed government-donated aboriginal stations out that way worth checking out too.
When you get to Kal,
check out the Lapidary
shop at the top roundabout on hannan st- They can sort you out for topo maps of the areas if you dont already have them.

Thanks Benspoon,
I've got all the details printed. I may wait to see the conditions out there before I commit to going in.
Have been to the Lapidary
shop in Kal some years back - Great little
shop!!
Cheers
