Hi, I'm Tak'n it Easy (TiE to my mates) having just joined Explorer Oz thought I should introduce myself. I shall be leaving Bris Vegas in the coming weeks for an extended trip through the northern climes across to Perth and will probably meet some of you on the track.
Haven't completed the new rig yet - started with a Hilux single cab and am progressively giving it a face lift - boob job, an ass lift etc !
Should look good when completed.

Well, you start with a Winch bar, add the winch, then new spot lights - I'd call it a "boob job" then HF arial, UHF arial and then the Rod holders - not necessarily in thatr order - the rods have a "HIGH PRIORITY"

G'day TiE,

Like Gramps I'm equally presumptuous. Hope you have a great trip and enjoy your time here. Now I don't want to start an argument this early but you know that no rig is ever complete! It seems though that you have your priorities right about the fishing gear but can I suggest a tube to protect those valuable investments.

Kind regards

You are a mind reader - 150mm poly pipe with end caps and interior foam lining ! The rod holders are just for show !!!!!! or when I'm too lazy to put the rods back in the tube !

G'Day TiE,

Here's a hot tip, put a tap on one of the end caps so it looks like a water tank if the tube's gonna be mounted externally. Less chance they'll get knocked off if the pipe looks like it's full of water! Got the tip off a fellow forumite who's name escapes me so I can't give the due credit! :-S Anyway welcome to EO!

Cheers
Scoey!

I am in Bris-Vegas , for the unitiated that Brisbane Qld.
Since Joh left its become more like Vegas than ever - and they said HE was bent !!!! Sheesh !
I hope to approach Perth from the North - but then again I may have a Bundy or two and I could get lost ! But I alswat=ys seem to be able to find someone who will tell me where to go !!!
My eldest Daughter has been in the west for three years - been promising to visit her !
On the back of the Hilux - Bundy of course ! disguised so the Missions don't get worried !
