The house is all packed up,the container arrives in the am.the money goes in the bank & we're off to wa., to be closer to the 'grandies'.I'm the only grandparent they've got, so I'll be able to ''influence'' them BIG TIME ,can't wait!
Gotta get a job & somewhere to live , then start to explore!! Maybe I'll put the first 2 into the 'too hard' basket & go with the third?[lol].
Well, better have another cuppa, then start packin the 4b , have a good day..

Phil..

Good on ya Phil. Enjoy the trip and much more importantly, enjoy your newfound ability to directly 'influence' the youngster's on a daily basis.

Phil,
Is your seachange, getting you away from the sea??? Can't stand the salt spray from the Pacific???
Have fun over there, it won't seem like you are any further away to me....still at the end of my computer screen.

Hi Phil

We too are just about to start our 'escape'. We have applied for a job in Coober Pedy and are waiting on results. We too may end up in the West. By the way...where did you source your container? We need to store our stuff. Where are you going to put the container? Sending it West???

cya on the road

Phil, good luck with it all.
When you get to my age its the things that you didnt try and do that you regret, not the things that you did.
Our sea change was moving to Qld 20 years ago, leaving friends and family behind. Neither of us have ever regretted it.

Hope I can get used to the COLD, must be gettin old I think, $hit ,I used to go & milk 200 cows in the nz winter & loved it!could'nt do it now but!
Anyway, more packin to do, & 4500 ks.to drive. I'll come back here ,when I get there ,With a new forum i.d. Thanks all...

Oh Phil, you made the decision! Hope you enjoy living in Perth and being Grandy - best wishes on the trip. Might catch you over there next year - we should at least get a start 'on the wallaby' sometime next year. Keep in touch via EO.
