Afternoon all,
I am a visitor,BUT I am seeking a diagram for a Landcruiser FH62RG.I have just brought a 7 X 5 trailer which has a 7 pin round plug on it,there is a 7 pin round plug on the Landcruiser,BUT the wiring underneath looks like a 'rats nest' and I am seeking a wiring diagram so that I know the color codes for the indicators and the brake lights etc.
Toyota arent prepared to help me,so I would be very interested if some one on this site can/could assist please.
Many thanks.

She is actually an animated GIF but cant figure out why she wont move here.
Go to my Rig & Profile and double click on her and she will open up in a new screen and do the Booby Wobble for you.

Peter,
With an older vehicle, a workshop manual is a bargain. P 238 of the
Gregory's #511 has a section on how to wire up a trailer. The info from that is below:
L flasher (yellow) green/black stripe
R Flasher (Green) green/yellow stripe
Stop (Red) Green/white stripe
Tail (Brown) Red/Green stripe
Earth (White)
Aux1 (Blue)
Aux2 (Black)
With the 60series, it may be easier to remove the tail lights and solder the wires in there - certainly makes identifying the wires easier.
Cheers

Peter,
I tried, but the whole wiring diagram is on a single page (needs magnifying glass!), and the resolution of my scanner is no good - what I ended up with was unreadable.

Hi Peter
It's not that Toyota aren't prepared to help - they can't!! Even Toyota don't understand Landcruiser wiring. Most of the time, the colours in the wiring diagram don't match what's on the vehicle, and sometimes even the number of wires doesn't match. I think they just throw in whatever is available and hope for the best!!
Cheers
John

Peter
all above is relevant but to solve this simply,,, just take your Tojo plug apart and get a 12v tester light $2 available everywhere.
Connect the earth clamp to good earth and turn your parkers on and then find the wire at the Tojo plug. Do the same for the other lights one by one. Walah problem solved. You can follow wires back if you need to and rewire to some degree to get rid of the rats nest.
Have a pencil or chalk to write wire colour and function on the concrete - should take <10 minutes.
This way it doesn't matter a chit what the wiring diaram says as you ahve your answer.
Cheers Barry
