I am looking at purchasing a 1990 Nissan Navara twin cab diesel.
Can anyone give me some info re the engine performance and economy and any other
point of interest I should be looking for

If that is the model with the 3.2 diesel they are dreadfully slow. Forget about passing cars on the highway:)

Hi Marn, the 1990 is 2.7 lt motor even slower! Also very weak in the front end.

Loopy111, I agree with previous re slow!!!. I certainly encourage you to check the front
suspension. As a fourby not bad. It will go where Patrols and cruisers go just not quite the wheel travel. On
the beach you may find you need to drop tyre pressures down further than expected. Engine wise the TD27 was quite strong but being 1990 check fuel pump and injectors as is quite expensive to repair. Being a dual cab the rear is uncomfortable. Its OK for youngens but not for anyone older than that especially while 4wding.
