Top Gear Land Rover Video - 4.5Mb

Even if you don't like Landies (please put aside your biases for the moment and take the video for what it is) - this video is a pretty good indicator as to why 4WD's are important to those who drive them - and why the anti-4WD brigade had better come up with a damn good reason to be without the humble 4WD in our lives.

Enjoy!

Have they even come up with a augment that isn’t clouded in Bull bleep why we should get rid of 4WD’s?

LOL Not a bad vid about the LR’s, hell they half convinced me to go and by one.

Omaroo,
Thanks for that clip truly inspiring, makes me consider driving one could be quite rewarding.
Also came across this clip of defenders in action in the Dr Who series, more great inspiration.
Check out the Defender Landies defending the nation, including the Queen!

I'm impressed that you can drop a grenade in the tray of a landie and the soft top contains the explosion so that it comes out under the bonnet first!

Yep, tough as teak those Landie soft tops.
I liked the way a professional soldier couldn't get his rifle to fire so he had to use it as a club. Also the aliens are co-ordinated enough to get themselves across space to earth but can't fight for spit!

The Brigadier could get out of a flooded submarine and still have his pipe alight!!

Enjoyed that! My brother inlaw has just purchased a new Defender and I'm just a tad jealous! Something about the boxy old beasts!

Just stripped a 1975 s111 L.W.B. Landy back to the chassis to start rebuilding.Drove the last re-built Landy I did up through the Pilbara and Kimberelies.Despite the poor fuel economy we had a bloody ball and had absolutely non dramas at all.Good, fun and easy project to work on!!!!

Yeah respect for a 4WD inovator, not a copier, LR leave the copying to Xerox.

Yes - they did improve on the design, which is what the Japanese are good at. There are very few things that they innovate all by themselves though.

You could argue that the Walkman is merely a miniaturised cassette player - which was invented by Philips in the Netherlands. As was the CD.....
