Hi,
Up here in
Brisbane I go to the library run by the council (Logan City Council) they have the manual and will copy a few pages from it for free.
I reckon with about a hundred visits I might get the whole book.
In my 105 I pulled my radio cassette out and fitted a pioneer CD/MP3in the lower slot and a UHF in the upper slot.
I know that the speaker pairs are blue and green one side, pink and tan the other side (forget which is which) I also changed the speakers so I looked inside the doors to see what colours are there.
There is a permanent power for the memory and an ignition power to control on/off, use a multimeter to see which is live with key off then with acc on.
A bit vague but hope this helps.
Have you got the radio out??? That first bit of levering out the vents bit scared me.
Mike.

PS I forgot to mention that Autobarn sell a small box/tray that you can fit in the spare slot when you take the standard radio out, I had one of these in the hole before I filled it with the CB. It is handy for a couple of CDs or keys etc and finished the job neatly.

Give Fujitsu Ten (Stereo used by Toyota from factory) support in Aus a call. Just upgraded my 2003 100 series with the latest MP3 Toyota stereo out of 2006 model. Fujitsu Ten confirmed for me that wiring harness is the same across a host of models (Camry, Cruiser etc). I am sure they will let you know the schematics of the harness of existing stereo. This is the contact I used and she was most helpfull

Hi there Crazie,
I am also just fitting an after market stereo and need help with a 1997 80 series wiring diagram. Would you be kind enough to forward the details you have recieved and it may help me with a few wires I haven't worked out. My email is geoffmat@bigpond.net.au.
Thanks in anticipation
