I'm a novice at travelling in this part of the country, but we are currently at Innamincka having travelled the Adventure way yesterday from Noccundra.
The road after you drop off (literally) the bitumen is quite driveable, but beware of large bulldust holes particularly in the first 40 or so k's. The road from then on is gravel, at times quite rough with bigger rocks in the middle of the road. Only had to use 4WD once in the Prado (towing a Sthn Cross off road camper), in some of the looser sand at the beginning.
I've heard there's been some rain last night so conditions may be worse at the Qld end today.
We're heading south tomorrow along the Strzlecki, but even though there's light rain here, I think we'll get through ok.
Cullyemara waterhole is a good spot to camp but very rough corrugations on the track in, in spots. Also NO wood (we brought some in)
I'm on the internet at the store here so won't be able to respond to any queries, but hope the above is helpful to someone.
Craig.
