jackaroo front diff lock?

gday all,my mate runs his tojo with the front hubs locked in ALL the time,in 4x4 or not [gearbox].would this be advisable with an early ['83] jackaroo ?

Only if you want to marginally increase your fuel economy and increase the wear on the front diff and cv's.:)

Its not bad for them, but not necessary all the time. Periodically you should be running the car with the front hubs locked to keep everything lubricted and flowing nicely.

thanx for that ro-dah-o.i do run in 4x4 regularly.makes it easier to shoot rabbits when im on me own.i just wasnt sure whether it was a good idea to run with em locked in but not in 4x4.
