Finally talked the wife into letting me buy a winch. I was in my local 4x4 shop getting a snorkel fitted to my GU and was discussing winches with the sales man and the fact that the wife did not want to spend close to $2000 on a winch when he said he had a 9000lb warn winch ex display it had been used twice at a four wheel drive show still looks like new.He said that i could have it for $1500 i reckon that is not a bad deal what do you guy's think.

there's quite a few competitors that do 9500 or 10000 winches for $1300. Try ox, brawn, t-max etc

Well its food for thought, Id GRAB it.... or offer him $1500 Fitted.

Then again what was his offer on Warranty? Full new warranty I would go with it TOMORROW MORNING!

Also look at BRAWN4x4 at their winches, 9500lb is $1,450 NEW.. Full Warranty and all...

And Colin is a good bloke to boot!

$1500 plus $100 to fit with full warranty and also the security of being able to get parts easy and knowing that it is not made in China, i rang him this arvo and told him i would take it the wife said decide today or forget about it so i decided!

warn also have relased a cheper label on the 2 base models of their winches and there is a significant saving similair warranty all the same parts or so ARB say.
