has mobile phone network improved at fraser island since last year?

We camp up at Ocean Lake and we get coverage on our mobile(telstra digital?) from Waddy Point to Ngkala Rocks. Not too sure what it's like further down, sorry.

I thought Fraser Island is one of those places you wouldn't wish to take a mobile phone!! The place to go to get away from them..

Only take it for emegencies. That's all the communication equip some of us have got. Unfortunately for some they have to take the phone for work :(

CDMA works just about everywhere up the eastern beach and in many high places around the island

Was there last week. Digital phone worked until just north of Eurong. Then again at Indian Head, Waddy and Orchard Beach and on some of the high sections of the inland lakes drive. Works at Kingfisher.
