G'Day David,

Good to see things are working out well for you. I may have join you on a local tour one day? I see you have gone to a Nissan and put the Rover in the pasture. About the butcher I will ring the Inlaws(who live in Alice) tonite and get back to you about it, if someone doesnt answer your question first.

I'm interested to know too as I will be in Alice mid July and will need to restock meat for the 2nd half of the trip.

G'day,
I frequently get meat cryovaced in Alice when I'm there with my tours.
Try Safeway or Bilow.
Make sure you are there early in the mornings and speak to the butchers, not to the people who restock the shelfes.
They'll do it for you, sometimes while you wait, or for you to pick up later.

Cheers,
Mike

Hi Hairy,
shame on me (-:
It should have been the other one LOL....
Coles I think.
I'm so used to shopping at safeways here, that may explain my memory lapse .........
or was it a "seniors moment"? ...

Millner Meats on Millner road will. They charge 30c a bag and will do it while you wait as long as its not too many,
Best butcher in town too.

HI David,

When we were there in 2001 we brought meat from Shorty's butcher. I think it was on the north side of town. The best meat we had on whole oz trip. Not sure about Cryovacing, worth a try (if he is still there) Lamb was unbelievable....MMMMMM
