So what else is going to go wrong if I have non standard wheels fitted?
I have the same size wheels but different offset now fitted on my GU. They fit and I have been driving on them for about a week now. They dont rub or hit anywhere and it doesn't look like there is any chance they that they will.
What I want to know is are there any other complications I can expect from running wheels with a different offset than the manufacturers originals. Cheers

If the offset is only an inch or two- you should have no probs...
If it's extreme like 5 or 6 inches..the wheel bearings and stubs would take a bit of a hammering

What signman said PLUS....

Look into the legal side of it. Nothing will happen while all is fine but have an "at fault" accident and things can get nasty. Find out what your insurance company says about it. Remember, they will take your money forever, but make a claim and they will look for ANYTHING that can cancel your policy, so ya gotta let them know.

Dont you love insurance companies :-)
