Help....my daughter's Suzuki Grand Vitara has an issue with the left hand indicator. When stationary, it works, but when mobile it sometimes doesn't work. The local auto electrician basically didn't want to know about it. Anyone had a similar problem (on any vehicle)?
Gary.

Sounds like either a loose connection of the wire, globe, or a bad earth.
Check all connections are sound and the globe contact areas are clean.

I have trouble with my indicators all the time. It's a sort of intermittent fault......every time I turn them on (either right or left), they come on for a second, then they go off, then on again, then off again........etc etc .......took it to sparky and he tried to tell me this condition is normal for indicators......AS IF!!!!! I won't be going back to HIM again!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha ;-))))

With all the electronic gadjets you have, no wonder the indicators wont work. Must be a massive power drain somewhere....hahahahahahahaha

I had the same problem on my car. All worked when stationary or braking but nothing when accelarating. It was a bad connection just behind the indicator. Being an
old car one of the metal plate thingies in the connector popped out and was loose.
Is it just one L/H indicator or all of them. If it's all then the problem might me at the switch.

Thanks for the suggestions. Finally found an auto electrician who traced it to a short in the trailer wiring near the towbar. $50 was a cheap fix. We priced a full indicator assembly just in case...about $900...lucky we didn't need this option.
