Hi
I need to replace the clutch on the gq and was wondering while the box is out what else should be done, It's only done 170K klm's. Any particular brand of clutch to put in and any ones not to use.

i gather you are putting in a clutch kit with new thrust bearing good idea to replace the spigot bearing at the same time and the front gearbox seal hows the rear engine seal and any core plugs i have found repco pbr parts to be very reliable and have heard a few good reports on the cheap replacement parts i have a nissan narvara so i replace all the parts above only because the gearbox is a major job to get out have to drop all the front suspension torque bars and cross members hope this helps

Strongly, Strongly advise to have flywheel surface ground as well as clutches wear in a taper formation due to the pressure plate spring forces.
I also agree to replace rear engine seal at same time as they are a bugger of a gearbox to get out and even worse to get back in.
