Rob,
So where is the proof (pics, anecdotes etc) for the rest of us mere mortals who have had to keep the country going while you are off gadding about. LOL.
Cheers,
Bros.

You're a cruel man Rob but I hope that the Swis client was very happy with the trip. I know that at the end of the day you will make some comparison to it being like our work. Let me be the first to tell you that I'd sooner have your job.

Kind regards and welcome back

G'day Rob
How's the Telegraph Track? Someone in the office here reckons it's still closed! He's getting a bit concerned cause he's due to head off soon.
Thanks from the Moose

Moose this mate in the office what on earth makes him think the otl is closed.
It may have been impassible but not closed.

Eric
Probably a terminology thing. I guess it's essentially the same thing - can't get through. So how much of the OTL is currently impassable? Any indication of when it might open? BTW it's my boss who's going up there so I'd better give him the correct information!
Cheers
PS Sorry - called you Rob before. Major embarrassment.

When I left cairns on the 2\6\06 the road was officially closed north of the Weipa turn off. We carried special permits to allow us through closed roads. By the time we got to the Weipa junction turn off 3 days later the road was open. Lakefield closed at that time. The road from Lakeland to Archer was the best I have seen it no traffic to make corrogations Archer was 60cm over and a patrol is still there that was washed away about a week prior. Archer to Coen is a bit rough. Junction to Weipa is very good. Batavia is not posible we had lunch at Cox Creeek and it is a huge bog hole. The longer it is left the sooner we will be able to get through. Big bog hole just north of Rocky Ccreek and Rocky has a by pass around it. Bramewll is accessable North and South now but Wendy has no fuel at the Junction. Fruit Bat easily accessable Twin falls with care, we were the first commercial tour to Twin this year. Crossed Canal easily but huge wash out before Sam stopped us going any further with 2 ton tucker trailer. Very wet at Bamaga and Twin while we were there. Drier south of Bramwell. Road was much ruffer coming home last night. Back up on 26\6 Cheers Rob
