Some time ago there was a post about the possibility of early deisel fuels adding acid contamination to the sumps of 3 litre patrols and maybe this added to the possible premature fail of the engine. It was quite a long post from someone over in Europe somewhere.
If some one remembers or has a copy could they please re post it on the net or email me direct. I have spent quite a bit of time looking for it again.

Notso ,

Thats not the one I am looking for, I have seen the survey at patrol 4x4 and have contributed my bit to that survey.
The one I am after is a pretty good write up about how Ozzie fuel has been poor quality for many years and only recently has been almost up to the standard of european fuel. The writer felt that this poor quality fuel has added to the early woes of the 3 litre engine. He also advocated the 5,000Km oil change as part of nissans method of lowering the contamination of oil by the bad fuel.

It really is a great write up and I did have it stored on my old HDD which has now failed.
Thanks for the info so far.
