Hi all, still on GPS questions
I have seen one of these relatively cheap, 3 questions

1. are they any good

2. how detailed are the maps ( i am going to cape york, is it going to be useful there or is it mainly geared for cities?)

3. can aftermarket maps be uploaded?

any assistance would be appreciated.

1 Yes

2 Very but only citys and major country towns and Highways.

3 all maps are on SD cards

Very easy to use and far easier than map books and holds heaps of POI such as Airports,Petrol Stations Etc

do you know where you can get SD cards for specific areas (ie cape york)

check Navman website as far as i know you can only get countrys not specific areas.

There no good for the bush but are great getting you there and in other states citys.

i take it with me when i hire cars in other states when away for work which is the main reason i purchased which saves me from hiring a car with sat-nav saving me $25 per day.
