Thinking about going down to Barmah SF/SP this weekend...we Fri-Mon actually. Rang the
ranger and he tells me that the area is still open and not too damp. Was wondering if anyone has the coordinates for a
good campsite in this area...close to the Murray and would like to be able to launch the tinny.
Cheers
Pete

Lots of good
camping spots all through forest on river.
I would suggest "Thistle Bend" as a top spot on the river with a makeshift ramp to put tinny in easily
About 1/2 hour drive in from Barmah dont know coordinates but is aprox B7 on Map 22 of Vic Roads country directory

hi Patrol22
I am a regular at Barmah
Forrest mate,
best place to go;
Come off the highway into barmah, there is a pub on the corner head down the road on which the pub is on, youll go past a tip, canoe hire place, then a red gum museum, then youll hit a little
creek off the murray, go over the bridge, over the cattle grate, there will be a
sign for the King Fisher Cruise, go past that track, its the second track on your left, turn down there it is about 800m long, corrigated track eith 3 bends in it them takes you into a
camping area, you can
camp within 15m of the murray and some good shade around in there, great fishing aswell
Enjoy!
