Noted in today's "West Australian" that GMH have issued a recall on some Jackeroo & Monterey Diesels. 1998 to 2002 Models are affected.
It seems that there is some possibility of internal seals in the Injection system may leak & allow diesel to leak through into the sump, thus diluting the oil and a possibility of increased engine speed and possibly vehicle speed.
To check if yours is affected by this recall use the Holden Recall Advice Line
1800 632 826
( Line is open 8.00am to 7.00pm EST Mon - Fri and 9.00am -1.00pm Sat)
You will have to quote your VIN (location is in the vehicle handbook if you don't know where it is).
Good Luck

Well with all these injector problems with the Jack (what's this maybe 2 or 3 now?) you've got to hand it to GMH (ooooh, I feel dirty saying that). I mean they don't even make the vehicle anymore, so obviously aren't worried about the Jack's reputation for future sales and yet they still admit there are problems and recall them and fix them for free.
Nissan? Hello?? Is anyone out there? Mr Nissan? HELLO!? (Loud and long echo as no response is heard...)

Doesn't matter if your out of warranty, it's a recall, must be rectified free of charge, doesn't matter how old the car is, some recalls have been done 10 years or more later, still free.

If is a new recall, it would be at least the third for this issue.
Mine has been done twice .... AND...... Holden DON"T pay for any extra parts - IF the dealer buggers the injection wiring harness, owners have to pay for that (over $200). This issue has been discussed here before - get a firm undertaking that YOU will pay nix, before signing it in (and - there's that word again - IF the dealer buggers the harness and you insist on paying nothing, they will put the buggered one back in ! - a post sometime back testified to that practice).

If they stuff the harness they want you to pay for it, I dont think so, I would be jamming it right up there clacker if they stuff it. Not saying I dont believe you but that is totally unaceptable. I would be doing what you said and get it in writing, how can they do some thing like that when they are responsilbe, bloody dealerships should be shot, hope nobody get caught out with it. Ok contacted Holden and advised that this is a seperate issue and that my vehicle is affected. I also was assured that there would be no cost associated with this recall and that any "consequential" damage done by the dealer's "Technicians" would be covered by the dealer.....Interestingly the Office of Fair Trading also told me that and damage caused or any extra parts required due to a recall, or consequentially,( ie they bugger up the wiring harness they pay not me) the repairs done under a recall notice would be the responsibility of the repairer, not the vehicle owner also there is a lifetime warranty on work done under recall, must make sure the dealer realises his responsibilities though...
In the past I have had numerous run ins with dealers & always had the Holden Customer Relations people find in my favour causeing must acrimony between us...On one occasion a dealer put the wrong oil in the engine & had to change it & charged me $200 for the oil but eventually after some protracted negotiations with Customer Relations I did get a refund....
