Mitchell rvr in old ruts under the
water , had to pull him & his camper trailer out .... have a good walk first (we did - but didn't find the holes) found out later a 4wd had been stuck there for a week & grader had pulled it out - that's where the bog holes came from

Hi Brian,
Had at least 2 groups and an single vehicle that have travelled the
Gary Junction this season without any problems. Arrived at Mt Dare and gave trip reports.
The only problem encountered that I have had relayed to me is FROM the
Gary Junction through
Windy Corner to
Everard Junction was inundated with spinifex head high and eventually caused a fire.
No problems reported on
Gary Junction through tom
Glen Helen.
Cheers
Ian @ Mt Dare

Thanks Ian,
Thank you for the report on the
Gary Junction Road. It's good to know that the reports have been positive. We're looking forward to getting out there soon.
I think I got mixed up with what Lindsay was meaning when I replied before..
Hope all is
well at Mt Dare
Best wishes
Viv

Gents
- we are planning Glen-Helen thru Kunawarritju to WA coast in Late July to early Aug
- may meet you all out there
- we have Nissan Patrol (very thirsty) & Goldstream camper
- phone calls to the communities say road conditions are "excellent"
- I have allowed over 7 days, but now think that may be too long ?
- any comments ?

Alan,
We're leaving
Alice Springs at the end of July for
Glen Helen,
Papunya,
Kintore etc...to
Marble Bar. We have booked accommodation in
Broome for 9th August..so we've got 9 - 10 days to get there.
We intend to go to Carrawine Gorge and
Nullagine via Skull Springs Road then up to
Marble Bar and
Glen Herring Gorge across to the Newman/
Port Hedland road then up the coast to Cape Keraudren, 80 Mile Beach to
Broome.
We drive a Prado (white/silver) and tow a Canning Outback CT. Hope we can catch up.
Best wishes
Viv

Viv,
We are leaving Melb. on 13 July, via Parachilna to
Alice Springs.
Expect to leave Ormiston Gorge/
Glen Helen about 27 Jul to arrive at 80 Mile CP on 04 Aug.
- expect
Broome 07 Aug, so may see you on the road.
You are certainly following an interesting route from
Kunawarritji
- we plan to follow the Kidson track/Wapet Rd direct to WA coast.
We expect to be in
Broome till 11 Aug, then south along Coral coast.
- our Patrol is dark blue, with Goldstream Off-Road camper.
Also hope we can catch-up.
See you on the "track"
Alan.
